The process of earning badges to complete course assignments was effective in that I did not want to miss out on earning a badge. It makes the assignments feel less like assignments and more like tasks to accomplish in order to receive the next badge, and if you have the full set you have complete proof of TPACK. I feel this would help in future teaching because it makes what could be long research based assignments with a lot of content be broken down into areas where students can investigate and follow steps to complete tasks, while still receiving all of the content material. It also provides incentive for students to complete their work.
